Week of Celebrations...

I have decided that maybe when I am thirty or when I have kids or when I am not poor, I will begin to let up on the importance of my birthday week.

As it is...I am not thirty, there are no kids, and as a starving musician I relish holidays where I receive presents, so I will still celebrate with gusto, this entire week, my upcoming 27th birthday!!! I blame this week long celebration tradition on my parents, who indulged us with elaborate and fun birthday parties, tons of fun birthday presents, and instilled in us the belief that your birthday is not just a one day thing, but rather a 7 day, multi-party, friends, family, and strangers all invited, event. When you grow up and you do not have tons of money, if you have good parents, smart parents, they play up holidays and presents as something special and something to look forward to, and they make holidays magical. My birthdays have always been magical.

So in honor of my birthday we will celebrate something new each day this week. You will be amazed how many holidays and things there are to celebrate this week on the calendar...

We will begin tonight, celebrating the cowboys win, which I anticipate will happen with a small struggle only created for viewer entertainment. With 12 minutes to go in the 1st we already look amazing. And WOW. We just scored an amazing touchdown, Tony Romo is SO good in the pocket, this is going to be a good night!!! I have to go, so until the end of the game...happy football, happy Sunday, happy birthday week to me.
