Within each of our stories is woven a thread. An echo that is whispered time and time again into our souls. These are the themes of our spiritual lives. For some, the echo is forgiveness, patience, or hope. For others, it is community, family, or simply being present.

The thread I have seen God consistently work into my life is the thread of redemptive, courageous love.

As I speak to audiences across the country, my greatest desire is for people to walk away knowing that they too have a thread being woven into their story. By sharing my own journey, I hope to inspire others with the hope, joy, and courage to live each day experiencing God’s presence.

I am passionate about young adults, mothers, teenagers, dads, the broken, the hopeless, the dreamers, the corporate ladder climbers, the grandmas… ok, let’s just say I am passionate about all of God’s children. So whether it is talking to a group of mothers, military wives, dads, teenagers, young adults, senior citizens in a nursing home, or ex-strippers who are leaving the sex industry to start a new life- each person’s story matters to me. I count it a blessing to not only speak at events, but to interact with people in a one on one setting. Whether over coffee, dinner, or late night break-out sessions, my desire is to be present and available.

For some of you, that tells you all you need to know!

But for those of you who might still be wondering, “Yeah, but what in the world do you actually talk about?!?” let me be more practical! If you would like for me to speak at your event I can work with a proposed topic that fits your event- OR- you can choose one of the current topics below that I am most passionate about. Either way, I will spend time with you to make sure I understand your heart and desire for the event.

“Living Life with a Holy Awareness”
My friend Kim challenged me to pray for Holy Awareness and so I did. The very next day I met Sherrelle. A 19-year-old prostitute walking through my hotel parking lot about to service a male client in a wheelchair. I felt physically sick to my stomach and angry that I could do nothing. My heart broke for both of them and I cried myself to sleep that night. Thus began my journey in living life with Holy Awareness. Truth is, Holy Awareness sucks and requires action once our eyes are opened. This session explores what it looks like to ask God to give us His eyes for the broken. And what to do when,  uh-oh,  He answers.

“Stop and Breathe! A Guide to Being Human Again.”
On slowing down and creating space in our hearts and lives so that we can be impacted by God and be an impact on the world  around us. This session includes both a reflection on timeless spiritual disciplines and practical advice on thinning out your families schedule in order to create time for spiritual growth.

“Raising Your Kids on Taco Bell and Cool-Aide.”
You think you’ve messed your kids up? I was convinced my daughter would need therapy by the time she was two! After making her sleep on a closet floor and having a mouse run over her little body, nursing her in port-a-potties, feeding her Taco Bell beans at 13 months old, and putting her on over 150 airplane rides in the first 20 months of her life, I was convinced I had failed as a mother! This session is for both seasoned moms and the brand new ones who still use the baby monitor! Helping moms fearlessly love their children with their own unique flair; through prayer and God’s wisdom; without the guilt and shame that comes along with being a perfect mother-  is what this session is all about!

“Help! I’m friendless!”
No, you will not be friendless your whole life and die alone with twelve cats! I have so been there and I am always amazed how many other women share the same sentiments when I say, “I feel totally alone.” This session will explore the importance of investing in friendships and community. Why it’s important, how to get started, and why it is our job as Christ followers to befriend broken people and invite them into our own journeys.

“The Echo of God”
Have you found your echo? What theme has God consistently been speaking into your life? Discover the unique thread that God has woven into your story. This session explores God’s faithfulness over time to invest in each of our journeys. It also explores using your specific life thread to make a difference in the world around you.

“Stories from a Road Warrior”
This session is a collection of funny, heart-breaking, bizarre stories from the road.  It is my ten year journey with Addison Road.  While telling the stories of being in a band, as a mom, living on a bus with my newborn daughter, I will unfold my personal journey of courageous (though I am the least courageous person I know), messy, unconventional faith.
