Don’t make me go there…

By | February 19, 2010

I am in a16 passenger van driving to Odessa, Texas. Four boys, one girl friend, and a baby who has been saying da da da da at the top of her lungs for about ten minutes straight.

When you are driving through flat, brown, petroluem smelling no mans land ten minutes feels like waiting on Christmas when you are six years old… Excruciatingly long and torturous.

So I checked my blog to see how many people have given $10 to help the Bizaillion family.

8???

Now I can write this because I don't actually have to see you or please you (and please know that I am doing this of my own accord and not at the request of her family… I don't even know her!)

But come on people, don't make me start naming names!

Some of you genuinely cannot spare $10 and I have been there, I understand completely. Your best way to bless others right now is through prayer, encouragement, or just to be a listening ear.

But there are a whole lot of you on here who have $10 bucks, and Paul Allen, don't make me start naming names (and NO Annie doesn't need a sister).

Look people, you show up on my little google thingy. You can't hide. I know you're reading even if you're a blurker or an email reader, and I know many of you way too well to excuse you from not handing over ten bucks :) I'm not letting you off the hook that easily!!! Pick up your stupid credit card and type in the info!!! Or send me a check, I'll get it to the family.

I've been to your houses, second houses, your lake houses, ski houses, ranch houses, your beautiful weddings, and your well to do churches. No excuses people, drop a ten or twenty or hundred!!!! Right now!!!! Get off the computer, take our little card out, and send this family some money. It's safe, secure, and a tangible. It's one way we can be human and real to this utterly exhausted and hurting family.

They need $600 to fly family members home (or a private plane please), and Jenny has undergone extensive surgery for amputation, numerous procedures and tests, she is on day 15 of being in the hospital and there is no health insurance. That is huge people.

I love all you peeps, but I need more people to give money or I will start calling names, going down the list, asking for donations at your door :)

Baby lists are coming tonight…
Happy weekend…
Stop reading and go give $10
Minimum
Not kidding
Go
Dad? Aunt Tata? Chelsea? Scott Hoffmeyer?
Don't make me do it people :)

I love you guys, all of you are beautiful people and I am proud of the way you touch your worlds.

Hopefully people are just forgetting to do your poll? Hopefully?

Are you really threatening your friends and relatives with public embarrassment for not doing as they're are told? Yes, this is a worthy cause but it's really between them, their conscience and God isn't it? They know what they can give/have given to all the worthy causes out there…

Anonymous, she's just trying to playfully motivate people to give, she's not threatening anybody seriously. She's saying these things tongue in cheek. Good grief!

broke college student chelsea here. I found $10 to spare, unfortunately it's not on plastic. Where can I send the money to donate? Thank you Jenny for calling me out! I needed that this lenten season. You guys should make a trip to sioux falls south dakota so that I can say I saw you all in person. Just saying… :) God Bless

P.S. If a broke college student can come up with $10, so can the rest of your readers!

If y'all can give more, I say give more. And don't forget to put Jenny Bizaillion's name on the donation.
Think about it. . .instead of eating out, drinking pop, drinking starbucks for one week, donate that money. . .jeesh even a few days will give you a good $10-$20. Stop before you pull into the drive-thru and say "no, I'm giving this $$ to a family who needs it more than I do." The gift of $10 to Jenny Bizaillion will be more rewarding than a Venti White Mocha.

I didn't see the poll until a little bit after I gave. Maybe it's like Molly said and they forgot!

also, just an FYI – when i donated, i tried to note that i'd like tit to go to jenny b. i got an email back from an administrator at the john pearson (is that right?? something like that…) fund place and she said that it would be up to someone else higher up on the totem pole to decide where the money went. :( i was sad to hear that i can't for sure say that my $ went to her family, but i know that i prayed over it and that God will work it all out and make sure it goes to whoever needs it most. :)

Ok, thanks for the swat on the hand. I needed it. I was intending to donate, but kept putting it off just b/c I was "busy". Sometimes we need someone to spank us. Spankings from people who love us are good. Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

Ok, ok I got it done. Your Baptist upbring really came out in that blog. If not for Annie then how about for Grandma. Might be just what she needs to correct the errors of her past.

I am sitting here, in awe of Jenny's family. I wish that I could say, that if I were them, I would be as gracious and praising to God as they are. They are truly amazing; an inspiration in faith. I think I would just be mad. How could God take her away from her loving family and nine-year-old daughter? Maybe it's b/c she just gave a renewed faith to hundreds of people (her carepage is a true testament). I don't know. I wish I knew.
I did give to the GCF and they did say that they couldn't guarantee who the money goes to. I do hope that people will continue to donate though, b/c there are always more Jennys out there who need help.
