In La Guardia airport hoping to make it to Maine. Our flight was cancelled. Up at 4:30 am and my eyeballs are woozy. I forgot today was 9/11. In this city, I am the exception.

It's ok that you forgot. For most people now 8 years later it’s just another date on the calendar; another average day like any other day. Until someone reminds you and then the memories comes flooding back to you and it makes you think about things that you wouldn't normally think about and for a lot of people praying is what they do on this day. They may not do it everyday. They may not do it at all, but today is a reminder of lose that people suffered 8 years ago at the hands of terrorist. I think that we need to remember to pray not just today but everyday.

Hope you guys made it to the concert! :)

Its hard to believe it was eight years ago. Aside from the terror that I felt that morning, the thing I remember the most is the quiet. I was living in Dallas at the time and my house was five miles from DFW airport the lack of the constant roar of airplane engines flying over head was an audible reminder of the visuals that I watched on the tv in the days to come.

I'm living in Singapore right now. I went to school, an American school, and there was no mention of it at all. Not even on the morning show, where they made a big deal of the fact that it was 9-9-09.
Though it's been eight years, we cannot just move on, and forget that it never happened. Pretend like everything's okay. We must at least acknowledge those innocent people who passed away that day.
