Only in Texas

Hi friends! Sorry for the long delay in writing. Remind me in the future if I am tempted to “pray for fire” that I am an idiot. Who prays for drama and action? And why does God answer that prayer but not, “Dear God please send me a check for a million dollars?”

Needless to say, I have not had much down time on tour and I am exhausted. I begged the guys to let me take an afternoon off and skip sound check so I could come to the hotel and sleep. And here I am feeling guilty about not writing you and avoiding my nap. I am not entirely writing out of guilt though! I have so many places and experiences to talk about that I feel like I am about to burst.

So first, let me just give you some pictures I took on our Texas run.

Yep, pico de gallo for my ribs, white bread in a baggie, and a small beer cooler filled with ice in a rib shack we found in the middle of nowhere. Only in Texas.

My heavy eyes are getting the better of me already and this bed is surprisingly amazing. Just consider this the smoke signal that I am still alive.

thanks for the update…i thought i was about to have to hit the road and track y’all down and make sure you were ok…then i realized that gas is going down, but not that far down. i demand you guys come down to the baton rouge area. we voted a lil while back on a building plan at my church, and hopefully once that gets started i can be on some kinda committee for concerts and can start actually booking some bands…but we’re still looking at a couple years for that church to be done…until then, i’ll just have to hope y’all come nearby

That’s quite a meal. It was sooo nice to get the chance to talk to you last night! I hope your travels to Minnesota were uneventful. I passed “Addison Road” again on the way home, but since it was raining I thought I’d better keep both hands on the steering wheel and not try to get the picture:-)
My voice is nearly gone, and the sinuses…oh my. I am staying in my jammies today! Have a great show tonight and I pray you get some down time to rest soon!

Hey Jenny,
This is Tonya from last night’s concert the one with the four kids I wrote about last night on my blog. You can see my four kids if you want to click over to blog. I understand if not, being as busy as you are and being pregnant. It makes me tired just thinking about doing a show like that and being pregnant at the same time. It was really nice meeting you keep praising God!
